Pumpkin Crumble

Cake:
1 cup sugar
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 - 12 oz can evaporated milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp allspice
1 1/2 cups pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling)
2 eggs
Topping:
11 tbsp butter, softened
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup rolled oats
In a bowl, mix all the cake ingredients together until smooth.
Pour batter into an oiled 12 inch Dutch oven.
In a separate bowl, combine butter, sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and oats until crumbly. Sprinkle over cake batter.
Using 8 coals on the bottom and 16 on top, bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
After 30 minutes of baking, remove 3 coals from the bottom and move them to the top so the bottom of the cake doesn't burn.
Makes 8 servings.
