Blackberry Cake

1 cup sugar
2 cup flour
2 tsp baking powder
dash of salt
1 cup milk
1 egg
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ to 2 cups blackberries
cinnamon
Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and salt together.
Combine milk, vanilla, oil, egg and mix thoroughly.
Add wet ingredients to dry mixture, and wisk until batter is smooth.
Gently stir in blackberries.
Pour mixture into oven into a greased 10 inch Dutch oven.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top of batter.
Use 7 coals on bottom and 16 to 17 coals on top.
Bake for 35 to 40 minutes, rotating every 10 minutes.
Test center with toothpick until clean.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
