Banana Nut Bread Supreme

5 large ripe bananas
4 eggs, well beaten
1 cup shortening
3 cups sugar
4 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or almonds or whatever)
2 bars of chocolate, chopped
2 sticks butter
1 tbsp cinnamon
Chocolate syrup
Whipped cream

Mash the bananas,
Add the eggs
In a separate bowl mix well, 2 cups sugar and shortening.
Add 4 eggs, 4 cups flour, 2 tsp baking soda, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 cup chopped nuts, 2 bars chocolate.
Finally, pour in the banana and egg mix and stirred it all together.
Oil and flour the bottom and sides of a 12 inch Dutch oven, and pour in the mix.
Bake batter for 45 minutes using 9 coals below, and 18 coals on top, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
In a 6 inch Dutch oven, melt 2 sticks butter, 1 cup sugar, and cinnamon.
Pour sauce on cake, drizzle chocolate sauce on top, and top with whipped cream.
Makes 8 servings.
